  • Ages: 4-10 years

    Our projects and courses are accustomed to age-level learning. Campers are grouped by age and ability so that they fit into the right group for their personality.

    Note: All campers must be fully independent in the bathroom as our staff are unable to provide personal care.

  • 8:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday-Friday unless otherwise noted. Aftercare options are available from 3 - 6 pm.

  • Summer 2024 dates coming soon!

    Camp will run from July 1st- August 12th. If there is more demand, we may extend camp for more weeks in August.

    We offer weekly sessions or day passes! Sign up for one day, week or all. Every day is different based on the weekly themes.

  • Yes! Our extended day program is from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at an additional $29/day. Add After Care as part of your booking, or email bk.downtown@splatlab.com to add to an existing booking.

  • We will go outside every day for some fresh air and movement breaks. On rainy days, we have an movement specialistand a

  • Families must provide a NUT FREE snack and lunch. We also recommend packing a water bottle, sunscreen, and an extra set of clothes if needed (recommended for younger campers).

  • No personal toys or electronics. Splat Kids should wear shoes that cover their feet, no flip-flops.

  • If your child will be unable to attend a day of camp, please e-mail us at bk.downtown@splatlab.com as soon as you are aware of the absence.

  • We understand things happen and offer a 15-minute grace period. Please let us know if you are running late emailing us at bk.downtown@splatlab.com or calling at 646-389-1238.

    After the grace period, a $15 late fee will be added for each additional 15 minutes. You may use a card, check or cash to pay the late fee.

  • If you’d like to change your week or class, after you’ve registered, email us at bk.downtown@splatlab.com. We know schedules change, and we are always happy to move or swap your weeks and classes based on availability.

  • Apart from the registration for camp, we must have valid CH205 Health Forms for all Summer Camp attendees prior to their first day of camp. This form must have an exam date of no more than one year prior.

  • How do I submit my child’s health form?

    You can easily upload the completed CH205 Health Form here.

    You may also bring the completed health form with you on your first day of camp. Please prepare for an additional 15 minutes during check-in for us to double-check the forms. Please note that if your form is incomplete or not recent, your child will not be allowed to check into camp until you have submitted an updated form.

    What if I can’t get a doctor’s appointment before the first day of camp?

    It is required by the Department of Health to have a health form on file for every child attending camp.

    How do I know if my health form is current?

    Forms must be dated within a year of the week your camper is attending camp. For example, if you want to attend the week of July 13, 2024, your health form must be dated after July 20th, 2023.

    Do I have to use this specific health form?

    You may ONLY use a form other than the CH205 health form as long as it includes the following information and is signed by a doctor with an exam date of no more than one year prior to the date:

    ● Weight, Height, Blood, Pressure, Body Mass Index

    ● Vision, Hearing & Dental Screening

    ● Medical History, Nutritional Evaluation, Developmental Assessment

    ● Dates of Immunizations against diphtheria, measles, mumps, poliomyelitis, rubella, and tetanus

    Can I use the same form I use for school?

    If the health form is current and includes all of the required information mentioned above, you may use the same from your school.

    What if we are not from NYC/USA?

    We are required by DOH to have an updated health form for every child. As long as the form is current and includes all of the required information, you are welcome to use your state’s/country’s health form.

  • Splat Summer Camp is located at BASIS Independent, Downtown Brooklyn.

    The space is cool and has a playground, cafeteria, movement room, art room, state-of-the-art classrooms, great view, large classrooms with sinks & bathroom, and much more!

  • Families are responsible for bringing snacks and lunch each day. We are a nut-free camp (due to many campers having allergies) so please do not bring any nut sandwiches. All lunches will be placed in a temperature-controlled cold pack each day.

  • We offer a 10% discount when enrolling more than one camper.

  • We offer a Pay What You Can model. As long as we have space we will accommodate as many families as we can.

    Our Pay What You Can program will open in April 2024!

  • Yes! If you have the means, we offer a scholarship donation option at the checkout. You can choose to donate at check out

  • Please bring the Epi-pen with you to camp, clearly labeling it with the child’s name and emergency contact details. Speak to the Camp Director about the specific allergies so that we are able to educate their counselors. In the case of an emergency, our team would assist with the Epi-pen.

  • We have a Health Director trained in first aid and responding to emergencies on-site daily. In addition, we have staff that is First Aid, AED, and CPR certified. We'll also be in touch with families immediately in case there is a medical condition we need to address. All of our staff receive rigorous safety training and understand our safety plan thoroughly.

  • No problem! You can let our team know that morning or you can always email bk.downtown@splatlab.com and we'll make sure your splat kid is ready to be picked up at the time you designate.

The culture, abilities, and gender identity of campers and staff is celebrated and affirmed as a camp principle. Please feel free to let us know if your camper has any special needs, desires, or struggles that we can help support. Our staff is a diverse mix of cultures, gender identities, and abilities so that youth can have role models from all walks of life.
